Advice givers vs. Advice takers

Advice givers:

  • think abstractly and ideally
  • think in terms of “why” a certain action should be taken
  • this is why I hate self-help books that are example-less, fluff-filled and generally not applicable to life situations

Advice takers:

  • think more concretely
  • think in terms of “how” a certain action should be taken

Before advice givers give advice, should think through how the action would be taken to be more helpful to advice takers
